Chez Panapa

Chez (Te Rarawa, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Whātua, Ngāti Tūwharetoa) brings strong experience in environmental education, ecological restoration, freshwater monitoring and te ao Māori. Passionate about connecting people to place and one another, he works alongside mana whenua, local government and community organisations to support community-led conservation and the restoration of taonga across the catchment. Chez values bringing together mātauranga Māori and western science to achieve meaningful environmental and social outcomes.

Outside of mahi, Chez enjoys tackling his overgrown maara and sharing kōrero with his partner Jess and their son, Mihaka.
